Happy New Year to you and welcome back to Trips100!  As you may have noticed we’ve been a little quiet over here as the Flea Mail team have been off  enjoying quality time with family and friends.  I did pop by last week to publish an article featuring some of your 2018 travel resolutions.  If you missed it you can check it out here – New Year Travel Resolutions for More Responsible, Adventurous Travel in 2018.

Before the Christmas break I asked you to share your 2017 travel highlight articles via our #GetGone travel linky.  We’ve been completely blown away by some of the adventures you enjoyed over the last 12 months.  Between you all you’ve travelled the globe from Cornwall to Cuba and Margate to Mauritius!

To provide travel inspiration for others looking to book holidays soon we’ve selected five of our favourite 2017 travel highlight posts.  Get your passports at the ready…

The Full Suitcase share some incredible travel experiences in this inspiring post – Best of 2017 – Most Memorable Travel Experiences including hiking to the top of Ulpit Rock in Stavanger, Norway, climbing 4,444 steps up the Florli in Norway and visiting the Bone Chapel in Evora, Portugal.

Sally from Life Loving shared her fave travel experience with us from her holiday to Bali in 2017, an attraction called Bali Swing.  Check out the birds eye view she experienced…

“You have to jump on to the swing seat whilst a couple of the staff hold you and then they count down and launch you over the valley. The views are breath-taking and the adrenalin rush you get is awesome” – Sally, Life Loving.

Tracey and family from Tracy’s Travels in Time had an incredibly busy and adventurous year racking up many air miles between them.  They visited 7 countries including Dubai, Thailand, Sweden and Malaysia for the first time, returned to Denmark and moved to Australia!  Click here to check out their fave travel experiences of 2017.

Melissa and family from The Family Voyage waved goodbye to friends and family in August 2017 and set off on their gap year.  They started off with a road trip around the USA and then headed over to Argentina, Patagonia, Panama and Chile.  Read more about this inspirational travelling family’s story here – Reflections 2017, An Amazing Crazy Year.

“We’re having a wonderful time exploring all of the new destinations and trying out new experiences. Of course, travel is not without its challenges and adding two little kids into the mix doesn’t make things easier. The same behavior issues that had started to pop up at home still pop up in whatever other country, though they feel less frequent and we feel better able to handle them because we’re generally more relaxed ” Melissa – The Family Voyage

My favourite travel highlights of 2017 were a fortnight road trip around Brittany in my parents motorhome, a fun week in Lake Maggiore in the Italian Lakes and a relaxing break closer to home at Bluestone National Park resort in Pembrokeshire, Wales.  I’ve included them in this post along with tried and tested from other bloggers – 35 recommended family holidays. Great ideas for 2018!

Many thanks to everyone who linked up to the #GetGone linky, it was great to read all about your travels and adventures in 2017 and get to know you all a little better.  I look forward to following your travels in 2018!

The new year is a great time to plan web content for the upcoming year.  I would love to know what you would like to see covered on Trips100 over the next few months… travel guides for particular destinations?  Blogging guides?  Answers to your blogging/website issues?  Please pop your suggestions below in the comments.

So You Know...

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.

Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions or comments.

Thank you!

The Flea Network Team

Got it!
